New Bowie album: Very good on first listen, more on it later.

Just a quick update, before the thing I really want to say: I quit my job. So now I'm looking, looking, looking . . . .

OK.

As you know if you're me (and I'm the only one who reads this thing, anyway), I always wanted to be a writer. Always. ALWAYS. Well, except when I was a kid, and I thought that since I was smart I had to be a scientist, which makes me wonder how smart I really was? Anyway . . . .

So why don't I write more? Simply because nearly every day I read or hear something that I wish I'd written. Be it in one of the blogs I read obsessively, or in another site, or in some lyrics or whatever, but I can never seem to get over the envy I feel at a well turned phrase or inspired witticism, even as I admire it.

There ya go.

Well, Shannon fell down last night and broke his wrist - it's a buckle fracture, very small, but it's there. Poor little guy. I'm just glad that both Marie and I were home when it happened, because either one of us on our own might have convinced ourselves not to take him in.

I'm hitting the job search pretty hard right now, because I'm A) having expense troubles, and B) sick and bloody tired of travelling. I've registered and submitted my resume to tons of places, so now it's just a matter of waiting and seeing what happens.

US President Le Duc Tho

Well, this is vaguely cool.

Went on an annoying customer site this week on a last minute call-up. What a fucking joke. If anyone had bothered to do things right in the first place, I wouldn't have had to get on a fucking plane.

Fuck, fuck, fuck.

I'm a bad man. Spank me, Charlie.

Boston this week, cleaning up a mess created by people who don't know what they're doing. And, like so many other places I've gone, they're placing unreasonable restrictions on WFM. It's like a racehorse with Pavorotti as the jockey - sure, it might go, but it's kind of a waste of time.
