Wild World

Today was Shannon's birthday. How the hell did he get to be 7? Anyway, we went to lunch, and took him by the store to pick out something for himself. Then, on Saturday, we're doing a big lunch for him, when he'll open most of his presents. Which we have yet to buy for him. Are we bad people?

Holy Shit, Batman!

Here's a real shocker to me: Somebody's reading this damn thing, and, even more surprising, commenting!

To answer the question posed by the commenter: In short, no. I suppose that it's different for other people, but, for me, it's just normal. It probably has to do with the fact that Marie and I have a total of 1.27 brain between us, so 73% of it is shared. It's a pretty good brain-and-a-bit, but there ya go.

Jeeepster

Oh, yeah. Sometime this weekend, the Jeep (name: Frankie) was broken into. Again. Once again, they stole all the CDs that were in there, but, for the third time running, they left my suede jacket. They, did, however, take Marie's necklace that was hanging from the rearview mirror to frighten off the little old ladies.

We have a suspicion as to who did it, as no one else seems to have been hit in the immediate neighborhood, according to the police. There is a mountain of circumstantial evidence. We'll see if it comes to anything.

That's PerVECT!

With the traditional amazon.com gift certificate from D&D, I picked up a couple of books that have recently been reissued: The Book Of Jhereg (which contains the first three books in Steven Brust's series about an assassin), Myth Adventures One (humorous fantasy from Robert Asprin, thte first two books of the series), and Electric Warrior by T. Rex. I had realised a few weeks ago thtat I didn't actually own any T. Rex, so I figured now would be the time, what with having recently seen both Billy Elliott and Velvet Goldmine.
